At the forefront of molecular innovation, the Schramm Research Lab specializes in the design, synthesis, and detailed characterization of novel luminescent organic molecules. Our research explores chemiluminescence, bioluminescence, and photoluminescence phenomena, as well as emissive crystals harnessing advanced spectroscopic and microscopy techniques to unravel fundamental structure-property relationships. Through interdisciplinary expertise in organic chemistry, materials science, and photophysical analysis, we are aiming for functional luminescent materials tailored for diverse applications, ranging from bioanalytical tools to next-generation optoelectronic technologies, such as OLEDs.
